As we stepped off the plane, the warm Caribbean sun greeted us, and the promise of a luxurious vacation filled our hearts. We had saved for months to treat ourselves to a week at the Iberostar Dominicana in Punta Cana. The hotel’s grandeur and pristine beaches were the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. But little did we know, our paradise was about to turn into a nightmare. During our stay, we were approached by a friendly representative who introduced us to the Iberostar Club. He promised us exclusive deals and perks, including upgraded rooms, champagne, and VIP treatment. The sales pitch was convincing, and we were tempted by the promise of a lifetime of vacations at a fraction of the cost.
